Another bugfix for VRayISO

Hi all,

With the help of a scene supplied by new betatester Christopher Nichols I finally found one of the bugs that cause those fast exits while rendering. I hope it's now possible to render sequences without problems. But the bug hunt is not over yet. I got reports that max8 sp3 crashes a lot more with the plugin. I use the max 7 SDK at the moment and I hope if I switch to the max 8 SDK (Which I do not have yet)this will be better.
All betatesters can download the new compile here:

The password is the same as for the last compile.

Happy testing,

Dieter

VRayISO Recompile for 1.4955

Hi,

Vlado kindly sent me a new SDK for 1.4955. I recompiled the VRayISO plugin and sent it out to the betatesters on my list. If you think you should be on that list and didn't receive an email then drop me a message. I lost some of my email adresses with my harddisk crash a while back.

Render on,

Dieter

small add on for ISO surface

Hi,

I followed the idea of the density based uv-map I had for the atmospheric effect and incooperated it into the ISO Surface. The ISO Surface generates a u-coordinate based on the distance to the guide mesh now. This comes in quite handy if you want to fake a little gi in the "holes" or if you just want to tint the holes a little bit. Here is an image where I tinted the holes with a little red tone. Just to test the new feature. I also tested if the VRay Material will "see" the atmospheric effect for refractions etc. It seems to work well.

Render on,

Dieter
